Last time I spoke on “Is Salvation Based On A Single Event”, and since then I have begun new subjects only to be brought  back to think more on these events in one’s life.  A true child of GOD will want to please GOD, not man, but GOD. Not only will that child want to please Him, but He will be glorified one way or the other.  He will take the rod out to the ones He loves just as He teaches parents to spare not the rod to their child.  The point is, how many whooping’s do we want during lifetime.  Continue reading →

Is Salvation Based On A Single Event

Most who hold the name of “Christian” base their salvation on a single event that happened in their life (walking the infamous isle after 4 repeated stanzas of Just As I Am followed by a baptism).  Others base their righteousness on attending a place of worship.  Does not sin rein even in the church-house? And then there are others that are moral and good who say “GOD is a loving GOD and He won’t damn one such as me or such as them”. Continue reading →

Many Are Troubled Over Current Events

I read a devotion this morning called “Arise and Depart”, that tells of a Christians last journey here on earth. The point Mr. Spurgeon was making is that each day we arise, we know not what the day brings. It might be just another day in our journey here on earth or it might be our last step into eternity.
